Backdoored is both an exploration and a visual document of our global surveillance society.  At the core of the project is a collection of thousands of found images – (in)security camera screenshots captured by security-testing search engines. These images form a global mapping of contemporary anxieties, and a visual testament to our growing vulnerability online.
