Sculpture from reclaimed keyboard keys. The letters run in a single line across the wall and floor. The keys show letters, numbers, symbols and commands. They do not spell any words, there is no easily assimilated message.
The line begins straight but then curves into a line resembling a sound wave. It travels down the wall and across the floor.
The keys are from different keyboards and are often stained from repeated use. The action of pressing a keyboard key is one of translation: the private thought becomes public, the cognitive becomes virtual. An idea might be coded into an action. It’s an act of alchemy.
